Born in Scotland, raised in South Africa and now living in the United States, Ben has spent the past fifteen years acquiring a lethal mix of engineering, product management, marketing and financial expertise in the payment industry, living and working on three continents and in over thirty countries.
His wide range of experiences include rolling out the first ever wireless EMV products into Northern European markets to coordinating international product and development teams to deliver enterprise solutions to complex business and payment problems in the US and Canada, as well as the introduction of centralized application POS technologies into North America. This year Ben is working on building and executing on a mobile commerce strategy for one of the largest US payment processors.
Ben continues to drive new technologies, forward thinking and change in the world of secure payment.
Outside of the office, Ben reads or listens to at least one non-fiction book a week and has authored two of his own: US Payment Handbook and (soon to be published) Rockstar Boss. A proud early adopter; if there is a new gadget, technology, application, development framework or shiny object – Ben will be using it and trying to figure out how to make it make sense for its wider target market.
